GLT Accompaniment: El Salvador

From 23 to 28 March 2026, we (Simon Lumpini, Bram Tulusan, and Carl Tranter) accompanied the MSC community in El Salvador. During our visit, we met with the MSC confreres and the students at the International Theological College in San Salvador. In a spirit of fraternity, we also met with lay people and MSC mission partners to strengthen collaboration and renew our shared commitment to mission across the various ministries in the city of San Salvador.

We were privileged to participate in the commemoration of the anniversary of the death of Saint Oscar Romero at the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador. We also visited several historic sites associated with his courageous witness and his unwavering commitment to the people of El Salvador. The visit provided a meaningful opportunity to deepen our appreciation of the country’s rich faith heritage and to reaffirm our commitment to the MSC mission of bringing the compassionate love of the Sacred Heart to those we serve.
