GLT Accompaniment: Australia

Monday May 25, 2026

The Provincial Chapter, held in Douglas Park, Australia, from April 26 to May 1, was lived in a deep spirit of prayer, fraternity, and mission. In the opening homily, the confreres were invited to renew their missionary commitment by returning to the Heart of Christ, the source of our vocation and apostolic life. This call guided the entire Chapter and inspired the reflections, discussions, and decisions made together.

In an atmosphere of mutual listening and spiritual discernment, the participants shared their experiences, challenges, and hopes for the future of the mission. Moments of prayer and community reflection helped the confreres seek together the will of God in a spirit of communion and shared responsibility.

On April 29, during the afternoon session, the Provincial Superior was elected for a second mandate. Before the election, a moment of reflection and prayer reminded the confreres of the importance of making a choice inspired not by personal preference, but by the will of God. In this context, the delegate referred to the Acts of the Apostles and the choice of Matthias to replace Judas:

The Chapter concluded with joy and hope. All the participants returned home with a renewed desire to live more deeply the unity between life of prayer and mission, serving the Congregation and the People of God with fidelity and generosity.
