A response of love to the Heart of Jesus
Tuesday September 15, 2026
The Province of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in the Dominican Republic experienced the celebrations of religious profession with deep joy and hope; these events bear witness to God’s ongoing work in calling young people to dedicate their lives to the service of the Kingdom.
These celebrations took place on 1 August in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, and on 6 August in El Salvador, bringing together religious, formators, family members and members of the communities where we are present to accompany these young people at an important moment in their vocational journey.

In Kay Chevalier, Haiti, Jean Marie Charles, David Denis and Carl Wesley Calixte renewed their religious vows, reaffirming their commitment to follow Christ as Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. Similarly, at the Latin American Theological College in El Salvador, the young men Enmanuel Reyes Santos, Ángel Emilio Ramírez Guzmán and Ronal Pérez Herrera renewed their religious consecration.
Alongside these renewals, the perpetual profession of several brothers was also celebrated; after a journey of formation and discernment, they took a definitive step in their dedication to the Lord. At the Latin American Theological College in El Salvador, Yefry Antonio Núñez took his perpetual vows. In the Dominican Republic, at the Vocational Centre, Fritzner Chery, Wisnel Mésamour, Frantzso Dorcé and Phanord Désinord made their perpetual profession.
Every religious profession is a cause for thanksgiving. In these young people we contemplate the mystery of a call that arises from an encounter with Christ and which gradually transforms into a generous response. Their lives remind us that the Lord continues to raise up vocations ready to live out the Gospel, drawing on the spirituality of the Heart of Jesus and in the service of the mission.
These celebrations were also accompanied by another sign of hope for the Congregation: the opening of the Novitiate for the academic year 2026–2027, with the admission of four young men of various nationalities. Favory Cimé and Pedro Marie Théolien, Haitian nationals belonging to the Dominican MSC Province; Orlando Saboyá, from the Colombia section; and Rubelios Ramos, from the Province of Central America and Mexico, began this stage.
The presence of these new novices reminds us that the missionary vocation is a reality that transcends borders and cultures. Young people from different countries and communities feel called to be part of the same religious family, united by a spirituality centred on the Heart of Jesus and by the desire to proclaim his love wherever the Church needs them.
Celebrating religious profession and opening a new novitiate is, therefore, a celebration of God’s faithfulness. It is a recognition that the Lord continues to call, form and send out workers for his mission. It is also an invitation to the whole MSC family to accompany, through prayer, closeness and witness, the journey of those who have generously responded to this call.
May the Heart of Jesus sustain our brothers in their consecration, strengthen those who are beginning the novitiate journey, and inspire new vocations for our Congregation and for the Church.
