MSC General Conference 2025. 1st Day

The MSC General Conference officially commenced last night (14/09/25) with a Mass celebrated by the Superior General, Abzalon Alvarado MSC, at Mosteiro de Itaici, Brazil. This morning, the conference continued with a group reflection session, during which participants shared communal wisdom that fostered a deep sense of unity and togetherness. In the afternoon, a new General Assistant was elected, with Carl Tranter MSC from the Province of Ireland selected to work in this role.

Following the election, participants were invited to reflect on the ongoing paradigm shift from an “egosystem” to an “ecosystem” mindset, which embodies the shared movement and spirit of the congregation. The final session of the day featured a group exercise focused on the prototyping process, providing a practical approach to transforming ideas into concrete action. The day concluded with a Mass celebrated by Raul Ruiz Mena MSC from the Central America-Mexico Province.
